So to give a public ECK talk…be sure that its foundation is stories. Then hitch the ECK doctrines to them in an equal proportion….Storytelling is the honey; and the ECK doctrines are the bread. They go well together.
―Sri Harold Klemp, Wisdom from the Master on Spiritual Leadership, p. 57
Sri Harold says ECK principles are better remembered when they are cloaked in a story.
Whether you are the speaker at an ECK event, contributing from the audience, or just sharing an experience with a friend, being able to tell a story effectively is a skill that can be learned.
You are invited to join us on Zoom for The Art of Storytelling Workshop, Thursday, May 12 at 7:00 p.m.
This is a special opportunity to improve your storytelling, recognize what makes a story meaningful as a way of sharing ECK principles, and learn some tips and techniques to help make your stories shine.
The workshop will last up to an hour and a half. Joyce Snyder, a lifelong reader and writer of stories, will facilitate the workshop.
Please RSVP to carol@mca1.com by May 9. You will receive a reminder email and link a few days in advance of the event.
We hope to see you there.
