All New Jersey ECK Chelas are warmly invited to share your spiritual experiences and love of the Mahanta with your fellow New Jersey chelas at this in-person Chela Day gathering. We have a wonderful program planned with talks, a workshop, a panel, music, and poetry. A special segment will also focus on the ECK Master Peddar Zaskq in honor of Founder’s Day.
The workshop will be an updated training on the Spiritual Duties of the ECK Volunteer, developed by the ECKANKAR Spiritual Center under Sri Harold’s guidance, and released August of last year. Guidelines for Spiritual Duties of the ECK Volunteer are attached below. Please familiarize yourselves with these guidelines and bring your personal copy to the training. Chelas who wish to serve in any capacity within the Satsang Society must first take ECK Volunteer training. Many New Jersey chelas took the previous version of the training back in 2016; however, Sri Harold has added important new messages in this updated version, so we strongly encourage everyone who has taken it before to join us on the 16th.

Lunch will be provided, including A Vegan Berry & Greens Salad, Small Sandwiches and Wraps (regular, gluten-free, vegetarian, and dairy-free).
A dessert social (including gluten-free items) will also be provided, completing the activities with sweet fellowship.
Parking is available along the same side of Middlesex Avenue (in front of the School House), across the street from the School House in the Borough Hall Municipal lot, and in various other places around Metuchen. Parking IS NOT ALLOWED in either the adjacent Fire Department or YMCA/Masonic lots. Ridesharing is encouraged.
